Amy Taylor
Chief Operating Officer
CDDC / Capital South
|

Downtown Columbus is open for business. Having received over $2 billion in public and private investment since 2000, Downtown is fast becoming a vibrant, dynamic metropolis. Amy Taylor, Chief Operating Office for the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and Capitol South, will highlight the resources that downtown offers to central Ohio business owners and entrepreneurs. As the economic and cultural hub of the region, Downtown Columbus is home to 100,000 employees, over 5,500 residents, and world-class regional amenities that attract nearly 8 million visitors annually. Downtown stakeholders are working hard to bring businesses downtown, both through strategic capital investment and assistance programs. Downtown’s new Retail Recruiter, Kacey Campbell, will be in attendance to announce exciting new resources for businesses interested in downtown.
Although we have accomplished a lot in the last decade, we are not done- not even close. Find out what the next 10 years will hold for Downtown Columbus, and hear about the 12 catalytic projects in the 2010 Downtown Columbus Strategic Plan. The new Plan will capitalize on our past success, and provide a roadmap for further investment to support the continued revitalization of Downtown Columbus.
Amy Edwards Taylor serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) and Capitol South. In her role, she is responsible for the internal operations of the two organizations and manages marketing and strategy efforts.
Previously, Taylor was the Vice President of Public Affairs for the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board of Franklin County, where she served as the campaign manager for the successful ADAMH property tax levy. Prior to her ADAMH appointment, Taylor was Communications Director for the Franklin County Board of Commissioners.
Taylor holds a master’s degree in public administration from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in English and political science from The Ohio State University.
