Make Your Voice Heard through NAWBO
1/27/2010

As the voice of America's more than 10 million women-owned businesses, NAWBO is uniquely positioned to provide incisive commentary on issues of importance to today's women business owners, from job market trends to access to credit to health care.

That's why it is no surprise that—driven by our far-reaching communications platform that includes public relations, social media, publications and more—NAWBO has recently experienced an increase in journalist inquiries for NAWBO leaders and members who are willing to share their perspective, challenges and success stories in today's current economic environment. At the same time, our NAWBO National communications team is always seeking great, inspirational stories that help women everywhere to power their dreams.

If you have a unique perspective or story to tell about one or more of the following topics, please send it to publications@nawbo.org for consideration. NAWBO will keep you in mind as we work with the media and plan content for our own upcoming communications.

TOPICS
Access to credit: What are your thoughts on President Obama's push to expand credit to small businesses and in what ways are you gaining access to credit other than traditional bank loans?

Job market trends: Have you hired lately and do you think this is a sign of economic recovery? Or have you made the tough decision to let employees go and think the recovery is still a long way off?

The power of women: Studies of past recessions have shown women-owned businesses tend to fare better; do you think this is true even today? If so, what makes women better equipped to face challenges like we're currently seeing?

Employee benefits: Have you put your company's 401k program on hold to help keep your business afloat in the current economy? Are you offering anything unique to help motivate and retain staff?

Business/NAWBO resources: What resources have been most beneficial to you and your business during the current economy and why?
